Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor

Primary Responsibility: The primary function of the Customer Service Representative is to provide order related information to internal and external customers. The goal of this department is maintaining an existing customer base.

Critical Success Factors: Accuracy of information, response time and attitude.

Specific responsibilities of Customer Service include:

  • Pricing/availability information (including existing specials).
  • Providing order status information on demand.
  • Order entry
  • Expediting orders
  • Fulfillment of warranty dispositions and delivery of service reports to customers. Including but not limited to: issuing/entering credits, entering repair/replace orders, writing reports, follow-up with Engineering.
  • Coordination of inside resources to address specific customer service problems.
  • Maintain sales information database accuracy.
  • Assure that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist in data analysis of MRP data to determine trends, future demand, customer buying patterns.  Requires mastery of Excel skills using pivot tables, etc.
  • Special assignments/tasks as assigned by Customer Service Supervisor.

This individual will be highly skilled in written and verbal communication and possess excellent organizational skills. They must have a good working knowledge of Humphrey Products Company’s products, but it need not be highly technical. Possible paths of advancement (outside Customer Service) include: Demand Management, Production and Inventory Control and Sales.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) + years relevant work experience or associates/bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and email applications (Outlook, HCL Notes).
  • Ability to maintain business and personnel confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) + years relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Manufacturing environment work experience.


Job Description

General:

The HR and Accountant Generalist will be responsible for weekly payrolls, benefit enrollment and maintenance, general HR clerical and accounts payable support.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process weekly / bi-weekly payrolls.
  • Administer / maintain employee benefits.
  • Update and maintain employee corporate training records.
  • Update and maintain titles / positions.
  • Update and maintain headcount and turnover reports.
  • Update and maintain employee information.
  • Upload Webdocs as needed (HR and Accounting).
  • Maintain list of HR and Accounting controlled docs.
  • Company event planning / scheduling.
  • Assist in uploading / entering accounts payable.
  • Assist and support Quality Systems.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Other projects / duties as assigned.

Machinist

Set-up and Operation/Milling and Turning

Humphrey Products Company, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components used in industries such as medical, instrumentation, distribution, agriculture and transportation has openings in the Machining Department’s 2nd shift which consists of four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am). 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to operate multi-axis CNC equipment, read blueprints, use basic machining gages, and understand standard machining terminology and principles. 

  • Must be able to set up machines and work with a defined process to produce quality products.  

  • Must be able to demonstrate good judgement in decision making and problem solving.

  • Special consideration will be given to applicants for: extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed and feed selection, process control techniques, GD&T and leadership experience. 

Humphrey Products specializes in short run production so candidates must also enjoy a variety of work. The pay rate will be set upon candidates experience level.
