Set-up and Operation/Milling and Turning

Humphrey Products Company, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components used in industries such as medical, instrumentation, distribution, agriculture and transportation, has openings in the Machining Department’s 2nd shift which consists of four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to operate multi-axis CNC equipment, read blueprints, use basic machining gages, and understand standard machining terminology and principles.
  • Must be able to set up machines and work with a defined process to produce quality products.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good judgement in decision making and problem solving.
  • Special consideration will be given to applicants for: extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed and feed selection, process control techniques, GD&T and leadership experience.

Humphrey Products specializes in short-run production so candidates must also enjoy a variety of work. The pay rate will be set upon candidates experience level.

Humphrey Products Company, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic control components used in industries such as medical, agriculture, transportation, distribution and microelectronics, has several opportunities for Mechanical Engineer Product Design Interns.

We are seeking part-time interns to join our engineering group. We are seeking full-time students at junior level in an accredited engineering program. The intern will work a set schedule of approximately 15 – 20 hours per week coordinated with each semester’s classes and approximately 40 hours during summer and winter school breaks.

Internship will provide students with hands-on engineering experience in a variety of engineering functions progressive with skills, software and laboratory work is included.

Candidates should have strong technical and problem-solving skills with an interest in industrial automation. CAD experience and SolidWorks or Solid Edge knowledge is desired. Entry-level employment opportunities are based on intern’s proven ability.

Humphrey Products Company is a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components for the medical, instrumentation, material handling, agriculture, industrial and transportation industries. We have an opportunity for a Sales Engineer.

The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and closing new sales opportunities with Distribution and OEM customers. They ensure customers’ expectations are met during the sales process and document sale activities via the company’s CRM tool. They are the primary interface/liaison between the customer and the greater organization. A portion of the Sales Engineer’s compensation is directly proportional to closing new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will enjoy managing multiple priorities, taking initiative, leading conversations, and exploring new frontiers. They will be proactive, competitive, driven to get tasks completed and stay positive under pressure.

Travel:

  • Up to 70%

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of sales experience with products similar to H.P., including 2+ years of application/customer-facing engineering experience with pneumatic or hydraulic electromechanical components and systems.
  • Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or Controls) but will consider experience in fluid power/pneumatic fields—additional Business/Entrepreneurship focus or degree preferred.
  • Strong people skills, enjoys and excels at building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong computer-based communication tools acumen.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Able to prepare and deliver technical presentations.
  • Enjoys working closely with small teams (working with engineers, project planners, and production planners to ensure we are not wasting time to bring products to fruition and deliver them to customers).
  • Enjoys working from a home office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • To have an Engineer as part of the title, you must have a 4-year engineering degree.
