Customer Service Data Analyst

The Customer Service Data Analyst primarily manages the SOPC process, prepares the monthly forecast and creates/modifies/prepare monthly sales metrics. They assist sales team members in analyzing sales, cost and margin data. In addition, they assist other customer service team members in servicing the customer. 
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • 4+ years data analyst experience
  • Associates degree – bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, business analytics or related field
  • Strong experience with MS Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • IBMi Series platform with Sequel (SQL) experience preferred
  • Experience with data mining and subsequent analytics using Excel PowerPivot, MS Power BI or other BI tools such as Tableau required
  • Strong communication acumen
  • Enjoys working closely with small teams
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Manages the Sales and Operations Planning (SOPC) process; and working with Sales planning group prepares the monthly sales forecast
  • Analyzes data to determine demand trends and shares insights with Sales management
  • Prepares & publishes monthly sales forecast
  • Interfaces with Sales team to maintain new and emerging demand forecast
  • Schedules and leads Pre- & SOPC meetings - communicates current and future forecast information (based on NBO and historical data)
  • Updates forecast in ERP system
  • Maintains and communicates forecast and sales information to peers and executive team
  • Prepares and maintains Sales’ monthly reports 
  • Using Excel and other appropriate tools, assists sales team members in analyzing sales, cost and margin data 
  • Prepares price, cost and margin calculations to support sales in preparing quotations
  • Analyzes historical price and cost data to identify and flag abnormal cost changes and escalates when necessary
 
Other Duties- Assist Customer Service in the following areas:
  • Email correspondence with distributors and internal support ie., planning, team leads, purchasing, shipping etc. 
  • Train distributor contacts on HSIS when necessary
  • Contract review (review and edit purchase orders)
  • Check orders for accuracy after the order entry process
  • Order entry 
  • Process returned good (RGA) requests
  • Provide written quotes to distributors
  • Provide customer with price and delivery information
  • Utilize ERP system to look up pricing, stock, lead-time and Eng. Solutions info
  • Utilize ADR/legacy report to quote lead-times
  • Review daily invoicing
  • Lunch coverage for other CSRs
  • Release backorders
  • Obtain forecast information 
  • Support help for sales reps
  • Create credit memos
